Most workplace violence compliance comes from one of two places: a template vendor, or a safety-consulting firm billing hours. We are built differently on purpose.

People who have done the work
Our training is delivered by someone who has planned and run the situations it describes. Fifteen years in municipal policing, a decade of it full-time in a special enforcement unit, four years as an FBI task force officer — writing and directing operational plans where threat recognition, de-escalation and emergency response were the job rather than the curriculum.
We also run field crews that are themselves subject to this standard, across public-agency contracts. We write these plans for ourselves, not only for clients.
A platform that produces the evidence
Read § 6401.9 closely and it is largely a records specification — mandated field sets, five-year retention clocks, a fifteen-day production deadline, redaction rules, role-based access.
We built software for that, and it runs in production today: the incident log, plan delivery to employees’ phones, training rosters, lone-worker location and evidence capture, and the regulatory monitoring that keeps plans current.
Where we are honest with you
- We are not lawyers, and we will tell you when a question is one for employment counsel rather than for us.
- We are not an EHS consultancy either — we retain safety and employment-law advisers precisely because our background is a different one, and we would rather say so than overstate it.
- We will not quote you a regulatory deadline we cannot support. The general industry standard is still in draft. Your exposure under the statute is real now; that is the honest reason to act.
Where we work
California employers statewide, based in Ventura County. We travel for on-site assessment and training — a plan written from a questionnaire is the kind an inspector is most likely to take apart.
